Description
Marposs offers solutions for measuring the principal characteristics of bore lip chamfers or countersinks (Countersink Gauge): maximum diameter of tapered bore, countersink depth (arrest depth of a sphere at known diameter), and, by combining the measurement data, taken using two different instruments, in an electronic processing unit or PC, countersink angle can be calculated. It is fundamentally important to control these variables in the case of assembly using rivets, for example.
A Countersink gauge consists of a conical or spherical shaped contact, a tripod, that establishes the reference plane, and a precision mechanical movement that guarantees accurate measurement results.
A cylindrical contact version may be used to measure the depth of a blind bore or spot face.
Due to a wide selection of handles (with built-in analogue or digital comparator, hard-wired or wireless, with or without display), the gauge can be configured to fully satisfy the user’s requirements.
