Description
The P7WB system is designed to check and balance the grinding wheels. It connects and manages all types of FT and ST balancing heads. Based on the application and the type of balancing head the P7WB can be used with single or multi-spindle grinding machines and it can perform the following functions:
- Automatic balancing for one or two grinding wheels (independent)
- Balancing on two planes
- Pre-balancing used individually or in combination with the balancing heads
- Spectral analysis of the imbalance (FFT)
P7WB can be fitted with acoustic sensors to monitor the vibrations. In this case the system combines the monitoring and the electronic control functions necessary for the electromechanical balancing and the analysis of the data generated by the acoustic sensors, in order to optimise the grinding and dressing phases.
If connected to the acoustic sensor the P7WB acquires the acoustic signal automatically, analyses it and compares it with programmed noise thresholds in order to improve the production process. By defining a noise threshold the operator can perform the collision check (crash) and the air gap check (gap):
The P7WB system consists of a Master card that coordinates and manages the acoustic function card and coordinates the communication mode between the machine logic and the operator interface (MHIS).
The P7WB features fieldbus (Profibus and Interbus S) and serial connections for a complete integration with the machine control.
